| Hightower came to us in our first year and impressed so much that it wasn't long until he was snapped up by first division champions FC Penarol. We have been lucky enough to steal him back for our league run in (2005/06) adding experience and height to an already solid defence. As his nickname suggests he is not lacking in stature and to be honest, I think he may have grown since the last time he played for us! For a big man (standing at almost 6'8") he has superb ball control and is equally at home controlling things from midfield, not to mention the aerial threat he poses as an attacking force! Aidy really enjoys his football and gives 110% on the pitch. He can put as much work into his off field activities too, but Damo reliably informs me that he can't drink soup!! (Gotta keep him away from official team lush Phil Alexander then!). | |
